SUMMARY:Zehr Institute Restorative Justice Practice Group
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by The Zehr Institute for Restorative Justice\nNew Opportunity: Restorative Justice Practice Group The Zehr Institute for Restorative Justice invites you to a new Restorative Justice Practice Group\, created in response to a commonly expressed need: more regular opportunities to actually practice restorative processes together. First Session: Thursday\, October 15 4:00 6:00 p.m. Pacific / 7:00 9:00 p.m. Eastern Online (via Zoom) | Registration required here: https://forms.gle/UCh3AY4tB1RwCEEs9 | Open globally - all experience (or none) levels. This is a space for practice not perfection\, and not formal training. Participants across the full range of experience are welcome\, from those who have never facilitated a circle or conference to longtime practitioners. Together\, we will build a supportive practice space grounded in confidentiality\, trust\, voluntariness\, restorative justice best practices\, and thoughtful feedback. Sessions may include reflective listening\, circle and conference facilitation\, co-facilitation\, different process roles\, responding to challenging moments\, and mock or real-life scenarios participants would like to explore. Hosts may model or guide processes\, but the group is intended to be participatory and responsive to the needs and interests of those who come. You do not need to arrive knowing how to facilitate\, and you will never be required to take a particular role. Observing\, reflecting\, and offering feedback are also meaningful forms of participation. The purpose is simple: to practice to try things\, make mistakes\, receive feedback\, learn from one another\, and become more capable and grounded restorative practitioners through doing the work together. Co-organized by: Molly Leach\, Graduate Assistant\, Zehr Institute\, and Ewan Benjamin\, Graduate Student & Communications\, Center for Justice and Peacebuilding\, with support from DeMoint Wesley\, Associate Director\, Zehr Institute for Restorative Justice. \nThank you\, and we hope to see you there! RSVP required: https://forms.gle/UCh3AY4tB1RwCEEs9
