About

“Rooted in justice, guided by compassion—nourishing change from the margins with wisdom, wonder, and unwavering care.”

I am a Black woman of mixed African and Northwest European heritage, bringing over 30 years of experience as an anti-oppression educator, organizer, and consultant. Raised in the Pacific Northwest and shaped by 17 years in the South, I live at the intersections of power and marginalization as a queer, low-vision, chronically ill person. My academic background includes a Master’s in Sociology, a Certificate in Black Studies, and doctoral-level training in social inequality, medical sociology, and mental health. Whether teaching, organizing community events, serving on advisory boards, or working in retail and nonprofit settings, I ground my work in justice, compassion, and a deep respect for lived experience. I value accountability, creativity, and curiosity in all I do. Outside of my professional commitments, I’m a devoted auntie, friend, animal lover, and reader who finds nourishment in the ocean, forests, and stories of resilience. I proudly support local farmers and artisans and remain rooted in the Pacific Northwest, where place and community guide my lifelong commitment to equity and collective care.
