Hosted by Restorative Justice Partnership
Becoming a trauma-sensitive or healing-centered school is a common and important goal in working to build a safer and more inclusive learning environment. A school implementing restorative justice invests time and attention into relationships and community building, which can prevent both young people and adults who have experienced trauma from engaging in survival behaviors that no longer serve them or the larger community. This workshop examines the prevalence and impact of trauma in school settings and ways to address adult and student behavior in a manner aligned with the philosophy of restorative justice.
