Fireside Chat: Two Families Restorative Justice Journey Hosted by Catholic Mobilizing Network

Monday, December 8, 2025 (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM) (EST)

Description

Hosted by Catholic Mobilizing Network

Catholic Mobilizing Network hosts the Grosmaire and McBride families for an intimate time of conversation and reflection. The journey for Kate, Deacon Andy, Julie and Michael began in March 2010 after Ann Grosmaire was tragically shot and killed by her boyfriend Conor McBride. Unsatisfied by the status quo of legal proceedings, the Grosmaire and McBride parents successfully advocated for restorative justice to shape the plea agreement in Tallahassee, Florida, where the process was little known and had never been used in a capital crime. Through faith, hope, and community engagement, these parents have worked diligently to bring something positive out of the death of one couple’s daughter at the hands of the other’s son.

The first hour will be spent in dialogue with Kate Grosmaire, Deacon Andy Grosmaire, Julie McBride, and Michael McBride. This segment will be recorded and shared with all who register.

Following their chat, at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT), participants are invited into a time of small group reflection and sharing. This segment is optional and will not be recorded.
