Hosted by the National Center for Restorative Justice (NC4RJ)
This 3-day session centers around the foundational philosophy for Restorative Justice. It focuses on understanding the principles of RJ and applying those principles to the classroom. With an emphasis on trust and relationships, the crucial Circle process is essential to building a strong and inclusive community. Participants then continue to develop skills and strategies to address harm and conflict. These strategies include Accountability Circles, Group Author Conferences, and Restorative Conferences. The session explores the role of authors, victims, support persons, community members, and facilitators, all the while considering how to maximize the priorities of RJ in any situation.
