The People's Conference II: Returning to Who We Are

Friday, March 21, 2025 5:00 PM - Saturday, March 22, 2025 4:30 PM (EDT)

Description

Join Restorative Justice Partnership at The People's Conference II, where we'll aspire to cultivate a more just and compassionate society based on healing and unlearning.

“Returning to Who We Are" serves as a powerful reminder of the core principles and values that define restorative justice through its indigenous roots. It encourages participants to reconnect with their authentic selves, communities, land, and the fundamental human dignity that restorative justice seeks to uphold. This theme underscores the necessity of returning to our shared humanity and inherent worth; reflecting on our personal and collective journeys; and serves as a call to action, inspiring participants to cultivate a more just and compassionate society based on healing and unlearning.

Friday, March 21, 2025: The event is held from 5 pm to 8 pm (EST): Cocktail hour with dinner and drinks from 5-6 pm, followed by an intergenerational panel of Harriet Tubman alum, families, and students, sharing personal stories about the importance of community. This panel will be moderated by Dr. Cierra Kaler-Jones.
