Impact Grant Details – Current Cycle

Individual grants up to $3,000 are available for NACRJ members to support larger-scale restorative justice initiatives, capacity-building efforts, and innovative projects that create meaningful community impact.

📌 Eligibility Note: Individuals or organizations that received a grant in 2024 are not eligible to apply in 2025, as we aim to expand access to funding opportunities for new applicants. NACRJ Vision Statement

We envision a safe and equitable world where restorative interactions transform individuals, relationships, communities and systems through the prevention, repair and deep healing of harm.

NACRJ Mission Statement

We advance community and restorative justice as a social movement by serving people and organizations committed to building community and addressing harm.  NACRJ provides guidance and support to establish high quality practices with fidelity to restorative principles.

🚫 Note for Individual Applicants: Ineligible Uses of Grant Funds

If you are applying as an individual, please note that Grant funds may not be used for:

  • Salaries or wages paid to yourself or others
  • Payments to individuals for personal services (e.g., consulting, advising, facilitating, or speaking at events related to your project)

In summary:
If you are applying as an individual applicant, you cannot use the grant to pay yourself or anyone else for their time, labor, or services, even if it supports the overall project. These types of payments are considered personal compensation and are not eligible under IRS guidelines for individual grants.

This restriction applies specifically to grants awarded to individuals and is based on IRS regulations for charitable funding.

Organizations have more flexibility, grants to organizations are not subject to the same strict limitations on paying for personal services 
as long as these expenses are directly related to carrying out the project’s goals.
