Healing Communities to Heal the World - Healing after Health Crises: hosted by Center for Justice Reform
Community and restorative justice continues to grow and expand across the U.S. and world. With that growth comes increased opportunities for trainings, conferences, and events to deepen one’s relationship with these practices. In our commitment to continual learning, practice, and facilitating connections, we offer this calendar as a go to place to share and find community and restorative justice events.
Please note: This calendar is intended to serve as a resource, and entries do not constitute an endorsement by NACRJ. We encourage individuals to independently evaluate the suitability of each event for their specific needs and preferences.

Healing Communities to Heal the World - Healing after Health Crises: hosted by Center for Justice Reform
Friday, March 14, 2025 (12:30 PM - 1:30 PM) (EDT)
Description
Hosted by the Center for Justice Reform at Vermont Law and Graduate School
Covid-19 impacted communities across the world, but higher poverty communities and communities of color were disproportionately affected by the pandemic. These communities are still recovering, both from the loss of loved ones as well as economic and health impacts that Covid-19 left in its wake. How have heavily impacted communities healed after this monumental health crisis? How have health workers processed trauma from seeing numerous deaths in the communities they work within? What lessons can we learn for how we can use restorative practices to help prevent and respond to large-scale health emergencies?
The Center for Justice Reform has invited esteemed guest speakers Dr. Pedro Flores and Dr. Timothy Gallagher to join us in dialogue. We welcome you to our online panel series, "Healing Communities to Heal the World", a multi-part series through 2025.
