Hosted by the National Center for Restorative Justice
This 3-day session centers around the foundational philosophy for Restorative Justice. We focus on understanding the principles of RJ and applying the those principles to the classroom. With an emphasis on trust and relationships, the crucial Circle process is essential to building a strong and inclusive community. We will then continue to develop skills and strategies to address harm and conflict. These strategies include Accountability Circles, Group Author Conferences, and Restorative Conferences. We will explore the role of authors, victims, support persons, community members, and facilitators, all the while thinking about how to maximize the priorities of RJ in any situation.
